I remember seeing it on newsstands everywhere. The new logo does super generic. This latest change is a bit of a shocker. I did not know it was for Weight Watchers. They messed up here as it just killed the brand in an instant. Usually, the designers are taking stuff away and making it simpler. Their original brand was so strong. Another example of a fun brand feeling like they need to grow up and mature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The new Black &amp; Decker logo redesign<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/designbro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/01_new_old_logo_redesign_black_and_decker.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13347\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I have mixed feelings about this one. One the one hand the new logo is simpler which is good. Unfortunately, it also looks a little bargain basement which is not good for a premium brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The new Myspace logo redesign<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/designbro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/01_new_old_logo_redesign_myspace.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13348\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Myspace created some controversy when they changed their logo design. The uproar helped the brand. It brought it back into the spotlight. Which can only be a good thing for the brand? People were so annoyed with the new logo they ended up changing it back!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The new Kodak logo redesign<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/designbro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/01_new_old_logo_redesign_kodak.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13349\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Kodak here with a logo redesign. In a bizarre move, they made the logo much more unfriendly to modern technology with this logo design. It\u2019s not a design that would work well on a small screen. The vertical copy is also a bad move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I do get mad when I see big companies spending a fortune on their rebrand. Depending on the size of your company it can cost a fortune.
