What is a design contest?
A design contest is a contest between designers to create the winning design for your creative brief. After you’ll write a creative brief (which we will help you with), you’ll pay, start your contest and designers will decide to participate and submit their design(s). Designers can’t see each others’ submissions.
You’ll give feedback to submitted designs and select up to 3 finalists. The finalists then update their designs and compete to win. You’ll pick a winner and receive the design files as well as full copyright to the winning design.
How soon will I receive my designs?
With most logo design projects, we see that the client starts to receive the first designs within 24 hours. Check our tips & tricks page to find out more about the full timing & process.
How long is the logo design project?
The duration of the project depends a little on how quickly you decide which designs you select.
The maximum duration of a project for each stage is:
Selecting 3 Finalist designs – max 10 days
Selecting the Winning Design – max 5 days
Receiving final design files – max 3 days
On average, however, we notice that most projects are completely finalized within 12 days. Check our tips & tricks page to find out more about the full timing & process.
Is it really only top-level designers?
Yes! We believe we can serve both clients and designers best when we only work with top quality designers. We vet designer work before we allow a designer to join a contest. Designers have to show their previous work, and our vetting committee, comprising of industry experts, reviews each of these portfolios. On average, just 5% of applicants make the cut.
Can I make my project confidential?
Yes! for just 25$ you can get a ‘standard NDA’ (non disclosure agreement) on your logo project. You can select this while you start the project, just before you pay. This means the designers will have to agree to the terms before they are able to see your project
Can I talk to the designers?
Yes! Actually, you are encouraged to do so. You will have a direct chat with all logo designers working on your project. You will be able to ask them to make changes & ask questions in general. Not sure how to give great feedback? Read our article here.
How many times can I ask for changes?
There is no set limit to the amount of feedback or the number of changes you can ask for, as long as there is enough time on your project. You can communicate directly with the different designers & tweak your logo to the point you are loving it.
Who will own the winning design?
You will own 100% of the winning design. All copyrights are yours.
What files will I receive at the end of my project?
You will be delivered all the agency standards for your design, this means you will get the ‘open’, ‘editable’ .ai or .eps files, as well as jpg and png for direct use. If you need anything specific, don’t hesitate to ask your designer.
What if I need a logo and a business card design?
If you need more than just a logo, we encourage you to check our brand identity design package. Except for logo, it includes business card design, letterhead, envelope and compliment note design.
